One thing the United States military is extremely concerned about is protecting the environment and this is why they have set aside areas for training rather than doing exercises all over the open spaces of our nation. You see running over vegetation is quite damaging to the eco-system and environment with 70-ton military tanks.
In fact often after years of such exercises the vegetation is completely destroyed and does not rebound quickly and this causes severe erosion and that means gullies, ditches and such. In the United States at Fort Hood a special program was made and they are working with the local Agricultural University to help the vegetation bounce back and it works too.
Running over vegetation doing military exercises is serious business and in the United States we care about the environment. Now lets discuss Iran and their military exercising, which they do in order to intimidate the rest of the World. These war games last for 5-7 days and they have no regard for the environment. Of course we should expect that one would suppose considering many of their other programs there.
It seems rather unfortunate that Iran wants to join the rest of the World as a World Power and first world nation and yet has little if any regard for the environment. It is obvious that they do not care about the environment of the world because they do not even care about their own underground fresh water supplies, rivers or homeland. It is unfortunate that such a nation should be allowed to have nuclear weapons in this day and age.
There needs to be an international discussion on this and these issues are so serious the must be added to the current talks about Iran sponsoring international terrorist organization, which kill innocent civilians, try to talk over sovereign nations and terrorize the world.
Indeed while we are on the subject perhaps we might ask the world who we will blame when a rogue nation state such as Iran or North Korea gives or sells a nuclear weapon to International Terrorists who blow up a 1-million person city in the Free World. I guess we can blame ourselves at that point for doing nothing, but sitting and watching all this happen.
Of course as we sit and watch the grass grow here, over in Iran the tanks and military destroying theirs and that is the first victim of this problem. Iran is destroying its environment simply to make a statement and now they wish to destroy our way of life?
